what a shame...

i've been informed by everyone around me that my blog is too err... serious and boring. haha, aku paham. kadang2 aku baca pon ak sendiri yg bosan, apatah lagi orang yg membacanya. so from now on i think i'll cease to write a long boring essay in each post. i'll try to make it more interesting and lively. easier for me to write & easier for the readers to read. te'ah once told me - "ruby, aku hanya akan baca blog kau kalau aku ada free time." haha, jgn risau te'ah, bukan kau sorang... we, law students are being shoved towards thick unbearable textbooks every day. i don't want to make things much worse, haha...

so anyway, i feel like promoting a new song i've discovered last week - 'shame' by Robbie William & Gary Barlow. the song is very meaningful. i'm able to relate to the lyrics a lot. it's about how you let someone down in a relationship - be it friendship, familial or love - and instead of making up with him/her, you choose to let the relationship go because of your ego & pride.

i've experienced that once. i used to have this huge fight with my close friend, THE GORGEOUS [u know who u are] for six months. truth to be told, it was one of the hugest mistakes in my life. the mere act of apologizing then seemed so impossible. it was not until a year later that we rekindled our friendship back and i was very glad that we did it. my heart finally felt at ease.

when we have any disagreement with our friends, we've always reacted negatively, refusing to apologize just to prove that we are not in the wrong and we can stand alone and we are not one of those weak girls who can't live without their friends. of course it would make u to feel righteous at times but somehow, the winning of your ego will not be able to compare with the sadness of losing your friend.

therefore, if u guys happen to be in a fight with your friends, just think carefully about the consequences. are you willing to lose him/her just because of the matter of pride? our pride is not going to be there when we need someone to accompany us for a cup of coffee or a movie - but friends will...
